Actors Alliance of San Diego Seeks New Musicals for MTI and MTA Programs
Actors Alliance of San Diego is seeking submissions for new musicals for our Musical Theatre Intensive and Musical Theatre Academy 2014 Showcases. AASD is launching an updated version of our MTI and MTA programs to provide up-and-coming theater writers with the opportunity, space and resources to develop and showcase new family-friendly musicals. In addition, we nurture and educate aspiring young actors through educational programming, rehearsals and performances of these original works.
The Actors Alliance is looking for original family-friendly musicals, under 80 minutes in length, appropriate for young audiences.
All writers, with or without industry representation, produced or unproduced, may submit a show for consideration. Each show accepted into MTA or MTI, respectively, will be developed, promoted and produced at no expense to the writers. The writers will also receive a development session with one of our local musical directors, two performances of their show, visibility on all MTI/MTA press and marketing materials and a final DVD of their musical's workshop presentation.
If you have a show to submit, visit www.actorsalliance.org for complete submission information and to review eligibility requirements and download a submission form. Deadline is May 1st. Any questions, email bryan@actorsalliance.org.
