The Herriman Arts Council is proud to present a fantastic musical adventure with an out-of-this-world car that flies through the air and sails the seas. Based on the beloved film version of Ian Fleming's children's book and featuring unforgettable music from the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a family friendly blockbuster production that is "Truly Scrumptious".
The eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts and his children restore an old race car from a scrap heap and soon find it has magical properties like being able to float and take flight. The trouble starts when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The Potts family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron, the despicable Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher.
Come see another amazing production at the pavilion in Butterfield Park. Our outdoor venue in the open air with the Wasatch mountains serving as a backdrop and some of the best talent the Salt Lake Valley has to offer is an unforgettable evening for the entire family.
