Youth Theatre Production of THE STINKY CHEESE MAN AND OTHER FAIRLY STUPID TALES Comes to Kingsbury Hall

By:

As part of the UtahPresents 2016-17 Season, University of Utah Youth Theatre will perform The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales, based on the Caldecott-winning children's book by James Scieszka and Lane Smith, at Kingsbury Hall on the University of Utah campus on Friday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 and are available at utahpresents.org or by calling 801-581-7100.

The 11AM performance on Saturday is a sensory friendly performance, designed to create an atmosphere that is friendly and welcoming to families with children on the autism spectrum or other disabilities that create sensory sensitivities. Though all families are welcome at all performances, the 11AM Saturday sensory friendly performance will include some additional resources and accommodations, including a guide to visiting the theatre to help prepare children, lower sound level when needed, especially for loud or startling sounds, and house lights remaining on at a low level in the theatre during the performance.

Performed by the talented young actors of U of U Youth Theatre, The Stinky Cheese Man turns the tradition of the fairy tale on its head. With fun music and witty narration about the Really Ugly Duckling (who grows up to be a Really Ugly Duck), Cinderumplestiltskin, and other fairy tale favorites - not to mention the Stinky Cheese Man himself - this play will entertain and delight the whole family!
