The Utah Cultural Celebration Center's WorldStage! Concert Series continues with the well crafted synergy of folk and classical styles of Red Rock Rondo on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 8:00 p.m.
Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 West 3100 South EVERYONE is invited to this FREE concert, made possible by the Salt Lake County ZAP tax and a generous grant from WalMart.Red Rock Rondo's songs and stories of Zion Canyon weave together the contemporary and historical, creating a rich portrait of this spectacular place and the people whose lives are so intricately connected to and affected by it. These songs cover the pioneering of Virgin River Valley by Mormon settlers in the mid-19th century, to the founding of Zion National Park in the 20th century, to modern times where retirees, artists and urban refugees have come to find their own piece of paradise.Red Rock Rondo is an all-star ensemble playing a lively assortment of instruments including guitars, violins, oboe, English horn, mandolin, banjo, mandocello, harmonica, button accordion, jaw harp, upright bass and vocals.
