Hale Center Theater Orem Produces GUYS AND DOLLS, Now thru 8/10

By: Jun. 27, 2013

Hale Center Theater Orem produces "Guys and Dolls", today, June 27 - Aug 10, 2013.

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, this oddball romantic comedy - considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy - soars with the spirit of Broadway as it introduces us to a cast of vivid characters who have become legends in the canon: Sarah Brown, the upright but uptight "mission doll," out to reform the evildoers of Time Square; Sky Masterson, the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love; Adelaide, the chronically ill nightclub performer whose condition is brought on by the fact she's been engaged to the same man for 14 years; and Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiancé, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating crap game.

Guys and Dolls is directed by David Morgan with music direction by David Smith and choreography by Jennifer Hill-Barlow. The design team includes Bobby Swenson (scenic design), MaryAnn Hill (costumes), Janna Larsen (hair & make-up), Linda Hale (properties), Cody Swenson (lighting) and Cody Hale (sound).

Tickets range in price from $16.00 - $20.00 each ($4 less for children per ticket). To order tickets visit the Hale Center Theater Orem Box Office, call 801-226-8600 or visit HaleTheater.org. As of now, over 45% of the tickets have already sold. So all those interested should act quickly. Tickets are also available at a reduced price of $11.00 each for preview performances on June 21, 22, 24, and 25.

Show Schedule: June 27 - Aug 10; Mondays - Saturdays at 7:30 PM; 3:00 PM matinees every Saturday; Closed Sunday.
