He is also the director of Soap Solution and has incorporated elements of melodrama, bedroom farce, and vaudeville to craft Soap Solution into a wildly hilarious and zany romp. (02/18/2012) - Sierra Repertory Theatre will open its 33rd season with a production of Gypsy, playing March 3 through April 22 at Sierra Rep's East Sonora stage. A burst of trumpet opens the musical classic Gypsy, pulling audiences into the world of vaudeville and Broadway's fable of a fierce and focused stage mom with a desperate dream. The musical's score includes a string of show biz staples, including "Let Me Entertain You," "Everything's Coming Up Roses," "Together Wherever We Go," "Rose's Turn" and "All I Need is the Girl."

(09/18/2011) - On Tues. 9/13, stars came together at the Carrie Hamilton Theatre in Pasadena to present CONCERT FOR VICTOR: A BENEFIT. All proceeds from the concert go to 23-year-old Victor Rodriguez and his family. In June 2011, Sacramento newlyweds Victor and Crystal Rodriguez went parasailing on the last day of their honeymoon in the Bahamas. At a height of approximately 200 feet their harness snapped, and they fell into the ocean. Crystal was killed, and Victor suffered severe injuries. Neither of them had health or life insurance. They had only been married 12 days.
(08/29/2011) - On Saturday August 27, 2011, BroadwayWorld.com's CEO/Editor-in-Chief Robert Diamond, in the midst of Hurricane Irene married actress Jennifer Hallie Rosen after a 17 month engagement. The two were introduced by a friend of Rosen's, who wasn't able to make the wedding, as a result of the weather and warnings throughout all the boroughs. The BroadwayWorld.com News Desk stayed feverish all weekend while the couple said 'I Do', as news was coming fast about theatre cancellations, schedule changes and travel advisories in addition to all things that were happening in other parts of the country and the world, not affected by the Northeast's local weather.

The tour began yesterday with a concert at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The American Idol season 9 top 10 finalists will be making 49 stops this summer. The winner of season 9 was Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox was the runner-up.
