Broadway Training Center of Westchester Takes on Classic Musical FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

Broadway Training Center of Westchester, one of the region's premier performing arts schools, will present the musical "Fiddler On The Roof" November 17-19 at the Irvington Town Hall Theater in Irvington, N.Y.

The award-winning tale of Tevye the Dairyman and his family's struggles in a changing Russia is a true musical theatre tradition. Winner of nine Tony Awards when it debuted in 1964, Fiddler on the Roof touches audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth and honesty. BTC's production will feature its Ensemble program, a prestigious an award winning educational theater based experience, comprised of participants accepted by Entrance Interview and Audition only.

Co-Artistic Directors, Fiona Santos and Jason Brantman, have empowered students through the choice of Fiddler On The Roof by exploring the iconic story with empathy and professionalism. This season they are joined by Sarah Hicks' exceptional choreography and Lizzie Hagstedt's superb musical direction, the production promises to be an extraordinary piece of Youth Theater.

Rich with musical hits you know and love, including "To Life (L'Chaim!)," "Sunrise, Sunset," "If I Were A Rich Man," "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," and "Tradition," this is the heartwarming story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, and life, love and laughter. BTC's production of "Fiddler On The Roof" will reach the stage at 7pm on Friday and Saturday, November 17 and 18, and at 3:00 on Sunday, November 19 at the Irvington Town Hall Theater (85 Main Street).

Under Brantman and Santos' leadership since 2004, BTC and its students have won over 50 National Youth Arts Awards, including Outstanding Ensemble for seven years in a row.
