Producing Artistic Director Turner Appears In A CHORUS LINE At Theatre By The Sea

Theatre By The Sea's Producing Artistic Director, Amiee Turner, will make her Theatre By The Sea debut in the role of Cassie in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award® winning musical, A Chorus Line, scheduled to open the summer season on June 2, 2010.
Ms. Turner, who is both President and CEO of Ocean State Theatre Company and has been Producing Artistic Director at Theatre By The Sea since it's re-opening in 2007, has had a long and eclectic career spanning three decades. While still a teenager, she had already toured as Kristine in A Chorus Line and Cassandra in CATS and made her Broadway debut in 42nd Street. She quickly established herself in NYC and added an additional five Broadway shows to her list of credits including The Will Rogers Follies, My Favorite Year, The Goodbye Girl, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (with both Nathan Lane & Whoopi Goldberg),and Dame Edna: The Royal Tour.As an actress, Ms. Turner has toured the United States and Europe in productions of CATS, A Chorus Line, Funny Girl (with Juliet Prowse), and 42nd Street. Regional credits include Pal Joey at The Huntington, Good News at Westchester Broadway Theatre, Biloxi Blues at Florida Rep, and Picasso at the Lapin Agile on Martha's Vineyard. She also starred in the independent film Sunday on the Rocks directed by Joe Morton.Videos
