Theatre By The Sea's Producing Artistic Director, Amiee Turner, will make her Theatre By The Sea debut in the role of Cassie in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award® winning musical, A Chorus Line, scheduled to open the summer season on June 2, 2010.

Ms. Turner, who is both President and CEO of Ocean State Theatre Company and has been Producing Artistic Director at Theatre By The Sea since it's re-opening in 2007, has had a long and eclectic career spanning three decades. As an actress, Ms. Turner has toured the United States and Europe in productions of CATS, A Chorus Line, Funny Girl (with Juliet Prowse), and 42nd Street. Regional credits include Pal Joey at The Huntington, Good News at Westchester Broadway Theatre, Biloxi Blues at Florida Rep, and Picasso at the Lapin Agile on Martha's Vineyard. She also starred in the independent film Sunday on the Rocks directed by Joe Morton.

Her work as a director began in Connecticut and has taken her up and down the East Coast. She has directed productions of Grace & Glorie, Fiorello, The Will Rogers Follies, several original children's theatre pieces, as well as A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, George M!, Evita, Crazy For You, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at Theatre By The Sea. Ms. Turner will be returning to the director's chair once again this summer to direct the musical creature feature Little Shop of Horrors, which begins previews on July 14.
