Keith Munslow Comes To Theatre By The Sea 8/26

Ocean State Theatre Company will welcome award-winning performer, Keith Munslow, who will perform Songs & Stories/Cartoons & Comedy on Friday, August 26, 2011. The production is part of Theatre By The Sea's 2011 Children's Festival, which is recommended for children 4 years and older.

Keith Munslow is known for his fun, funky music, lightning-fast cartooning, and hilarious stories that have the grown-ups laughing as much as the kids! "This is just the type of performance we love to bring to our young audiences," explains Producing Artistic Director Amiee Turner. "Keith's show combines so many different types of art disciplines into one very entertaining show." Keith's rhythmic piano playing, on-the-spot improvisations, and quick wit combine to create a highly interactive, upbeat, fast-paced ride. So hang on and don't blink, or you might miss something!
Keith has entertained thousands of children and adults at festivals, concerts, schools and libraries throughout New England - and beyond. He has recorded numerous CDs for children & families, including Accidentally On Purpose, and Dressed Up For The Party, both of which garnered Parents' Choice Awards. In addition to his one-man show for kids and families, Keith performs with the New Orleans-flavored blues band, Superchief Trio, and in a hilarious duo show with storyteller, Bill Harley.

Between the performances, families can enjoy refreshments which will be available for purchase at the gazebo.

Keith Munslow's Songs & Stories/Cartoons & Comedy will be presented on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:00 am and 12:00 noon. The theatre is located at 364 Cards Pond Road, Matunuck, RI.
