Macy's Providence Place and the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) have announced that Macy's is the sponsor of KIDS' NIGHT AT Dr. Seuss' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL. Macy's Kids' Night at Dr. Seuss' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL is on Wednesday, November 16 at 7P.

Dr. Seuss' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL performs at PPAC November 15 - 20, and is a part of the 2011/2012 Contemporary Classics Series, sponsored by TACO/The White Family Foundation.

Craig Robbins, Vice President and Store Manager for Macy's Providence Place, said, "Macy's is a big believer in giving back to the communities that we serve, and our Providence Place store is committed to supporting education and local theatre arts in the Providence community. We are very pleased to partner with PPAC for a second time to underwrite tickets for students who otherwise would not be able to attend the Theatre. This partnership is a great way to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season, and bring underprivileged children the gift of experiencing live theatre in person."

With the Macy's Kids' Night offer, anyone can buy a regularly-priced ticket and receive a second ticket FREE for a child 18 years or younger of equal value in selected sections for the Wednesday, November 16 performance at 7P. Macy's Kids' Night attendees will have the opportunity to attend a pre-performance event. These tickets may be ordered in person at PPAC or by calling the Box Office at (401) 421-ARTS (2787); they are not available online.

As part of this special partnership between Macy's Providence Place and PPAC, "The Grinch" will make an in-store appearance on the third floor in the Macy's Kids' Department this Sunday, November 13 at 3P. The Grinch will read from the book How The Grinch Stole Christmas! and will meet and greet Macy's guests.

In Dr. Seuss' THE GRINCH WHO STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL, Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small," decides to steal Christmas away from the holiday-loving Whos. Magnificent sets and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss' original illustrations transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, while the Music and Book of Mel Marvin and Timothy Mason breathe new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of Christmas.

The full performance schedule for Dr. Seuss' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL is Tuesday, November 15 at 7P; Wednesday, November 16 at 11A & 7P (The 7P performance is Macy's Kids' Night at Dr. Seuss' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS!
