Epic Theatre Company is expanding once again as it premieres its brand new live talk show entitled The Drag. For five nights, Epic Artistic Director Kevin Broccoli will sit down with actors, writers, directors, and other members of the artistic community to discuss world events, pop culture, theater, and everything else with an irreverent and engaging attitude. The show will be live from Epic's home base at Theater 82 in Cranston, and will be streamed on their Facebook page.

"This is something I've wanted to do for a long time," says Broccoli, "There's so much going on, both locally and beyond, in the world of the arts. We have so many savvy and intelligent people in this community, and so many of them work right here at Epic. A live talk show seemed like a great way to continue our social media outreach and also get people engaged in what we do here. We like theater that creates conversation, and The Drag is a way to showcase the kinds of conversations we're hoping people have after an Epic experience."

The Drag kicks off Sunday, May 6th @ 10pm and continues for four more evenings, ending on Thursday, May 10th. Each night will feature Broccoli joined by two special guests. Those sitting down with the Artistic Director include Artistic Directors Jonathan Pitts-Wiley and Theodore Clement, actors Kerry Giorgi and Samantha Gaus, theater critic Terry Shea, and comedian Jay Are Adams.

"Right now, we're limiting this to five nights," says Broccoli, "But my hope is that it'll become a new way for us to converse with our audience and show people that while we take the work we do here seriously, we also have a sense of humor. We think that the best conversations involve a lot of laughter, and a generous helping self-awareness. We're calling the show The Drag because we think that right now, people are having a hard time being honest with themselves and each other about so much of what's going on around them-their political beliefs, their work, their art. We want to have the kind of no-holds barred talks that you avoid at Thanksgiving."
