Memory and metaphor: ‘Water for Elephants’ cast soars above the stage while breaking your heart
The most remarkable part of the show is the circus. Joining the talented singers and dancers from the Broadway stage are aerialists who swing on hoops and glide through the air on silks suspended from the ceiling. Acrobats tumble and fly across the stage, sometimes catching each other in mid-air and other times performing daring feats to create a spectacle one would expect from a circus.
