Last January we performed music from science fiction films with pictures and clips from Star Trek, Alien, The Matrix, Superman and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
This January, through the European FilmPhilharmonic Institute of Berlin we’ve secured the rights to perform music from some of the greatest motion pictures ever. So protective are the studios of these films that we are unable to list a single item or movie from the program. However, we are able to say that the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra invites you with clips and stills and guided narration to meet Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, the crew of the USS Enterprise with Dr. Spock and Captain Kirk, and Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley in terror from alien creatures.
