Joana Amendoeira debuted at eleven in the Great Night of Fado, held in Oporto, having returned to the competition the following year - and won the In-interpretation Women category. The singer already has eight edited and distinct records interests in fado compilations, national and international, as well as several awards, including the Revelation Prize awarded by House Press (2004), and Best Fado Disco (2008) awarded by the Foundation Amalia Rodrigues. Was selected to perform at various fairs of world music, as the Mercat Music Viva de Vic, Spain (2003), and World Strictly, Canada (2005). It has performed in tours by several countries, such as Lithuania, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Sweden, Russia, Brazil, Argentina, USA, Japan and India.
