Willamette University's Grace Goudy Distinguished Artist Series welcomes Mahsa and Marjan Vahdat, acclaimed vocalists performing Persian classical and world music. Born in Iran and celebrated internationally, the Vahdat sisters are known for their expressive artistry and deeply moving interpretations of Persian poetry and traditional repertoire.
Their performances weave centuries-old musical traditions with contemporary sensibilities, creating concerts of remarkable beauty, emotional depth, and cultural resonance.
Joining them for this special performance are Atabak Elyasi, setar, and Willamette faculty artists James Miley, piano; Bill Athens, bass; and Ryan Biesack, drum set.
