Hambone's Theater Company Presents CANDY AND SHELLEY GO TO THE DESERT

By: Sep. 27, 2016

Hambone's Theater Company will be producing its third show for this season in Lawrenceville: a hilarious and light comedy CANDY AND SHELLEY GO TO THE DESERT, by Paula Cizmar, directed by Angela Trovato, will run in the restaurant portion of Hambone's Pub on October 7, 8, & 14, 2016.

CANDY AND SHELLEY GO TO THE DESERT was written by Paula Cizmar was written specifically for Fringe festivals around the world originally, but has been successfully produced in both London and New York . Candy and Shelley go the Desert is a comedy set around two friends stranded in the desert when a road trip goes wrong and their car breaks down. Alone in the sweltering heat the girls ponder their options for rescue as past hopes and dreams are revealed and dashed and they contemplate their friendship's future. When an unlikely character arrives the girls have to decide whether it's fight, or flight, or both.

This company's third production hilariously jumps into the Nevada desert with two New York ladies and a biker, all while wining and dining in this tiny café we've created in Lawrenceville.

Performed in an immersive setting, where audiences are interacting with each of the characters, this light-hearted comedy will be an overall delight.

CANDY AND SHELLEY GO TO THE DESERT features: Olivia Vadnais, Gabrielle Kogut, and Patrick Stanny.

This production is suggested for high school and older audiences.
