Arizona Indian Festival Returns to Scottsdale: January 31 – February 1, 2026
We would love for you to join us for the 2026 Arizona Indian Festival, taking place January 31 – February 1 at the Scottsdale Civic Center in conjunction with Scottsdale’s Western Week. This annual event, organized by the Arizona American Indian Tourism Association (AAITA) in partnership with Arizona’s Native American tribes, provides a dynamic platform for tribal tourism and fosters awareness of Arizona’s Indigenous communities.
Celebrate Arizona’s rich Native heritage through an inclusive intertribal gathering that showcases Indigenous culture, traditional arts and crafts, foods, and innovations in cultural tourism. Guests are invited to explore authentic tribal dwellings, witness traditional arts demonstrations, enjoy Native foods, and participate in family-friendly entertainment featuring performances from diverse tribal groups.
"This is a unique event; it brings all twenty-two Arizona tribes to one central place for the weekend.
It is a good time to make new friends and learn more about each tribe. Bring a blanket, sit, and watch the
cultural dances on the main stage. The songs you hear bring healing and positive energy for all," explained Geri Hongeva. President of the Arizona American Indian Tourism Association
The festival features booths for Native American arts and crafts, interactive presentations, and the return of the Indigenous Food Symposium, spotlighting food sovereignty and traditional foodways. Renowned presenters from tribal communities will share their expertise in farming, culinary arts, and cultural preservation, continuing the event’s tradition of dynamic programming and educational outreach. Tribal Royalty and representatives from Arizona’s Native Nations will also be present to welcome attendees and share traditions.
Admission is free and open to the public. Join us at Scottsdale Civic Center, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd., and experience the unity and diversity of Arizona’s Indigenous peoples in an atmosphere of cultural celebration and discovery.
