Youth Works Announces HAIRSPRAY, 2/3-19

Hairspray is performing in Peoria as a Theater Works' Youth Works special presentation.

Winner of eight 2003 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Hairspray will "sweep audiences away to 1960s Baltimore in this international smash-hit musical, piled bouffant-high with laughter and romance - and enough deliriously tuneful songs to fill a nonstop platter party. It's Hairspray, live on stage, in living color!"

Special group pricing is available for groups of 7 or more ($14/person). Performing on the Gyder Theater Hairspray runs February 3 - 19 and tickets are on sale now!

It's time to let your hair down and dance the night away with music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman and a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan. Youth Works' Hairspray is directed by award winner Athena Hunting, Musical Director Jay Melberg and Choreographed by James Marinaro.

Tickets are now on sale both online at theaterworks.org and at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts. The Box Office is open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily and may be reached at 623-815-7930. HAIRSPRAY runs February 3 - 19. Performances are Thursday - Saturday 7:00 p.m. and Saturday - Sunday 1:30 p.m. Special group pricing for 7 or more ticket prices are $14 / person.  Please call the Box Office for special pricing.
