Theater Works concludes the 2015-16 season with the comedic Broadway hit Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, opening April 8, 2016. Winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play, this is a comedy about adult sibling rivalry like no other. Brother and sister Vanya and Sonia have frittered their lives away in their family's farmhouse, full of regret, angst and the alarmingly ambiguous prophecies of their housekeeper. Enter big sister, Masha, a self-absorbed movie star and her ditsy, gorgeous boy-toy, Spike, and the stage is set for a weekend of epic hilarity, dress-up and global warming. Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will be on the Gyder Stage through April 24.

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike sees Executive Director Daniel Schay taking on the role of Director, "I've known the work of Christopher Durang since my college days, and have always been struck by how he combines bold, brash humor, clever satire and a touch of warm humanity in his characters. He wrote important plays in the 70s, 80s and 90s and this is the perfect comedy for today." Schay leads a talented cast comprised of Bruce Laks as "Vanya", Cathy Dresbach as "Sonia", Debra Rich as "Masha", David Samson as "Spike", Lesley Ariel Tutnik as "Cassandra" and Shelby Daeffler as "Nina".
