Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will present the international smash hit Menopause The Musical for an eight-show engagement, today, March 31 to April 5, in the Virginia G. Piper Theater.
Visit www.ScottsdalePerformingArts.org or call 480-499-TKTS (8587) for tickets and performance times. Tickets start at $29, and group discounts are also available. Menopause The Musical is a groundbreaking celebration of women who find themselves at any stage of "The Change." The hilarious musical comedy has evolved as a grassroots movement of women who deal with life adjustments after 40 by embracing each other and the road ahead. Set in a department store, Menopause The Musical features four women of a certain age who meet by chance while shopping for a black lace bra at a lingerie sale. After noticing unmistakable similarities among one another, they joke about their woeful hot flashes, mood swings, wrinkles, weight gain and more. The laughter-filled, 90-minute production gets audience members out of their seats and singing along to parodies of classic pop songs of the 1960s, 70s and 80s. These women form a sisterhood and unique bond as they rejoice that menopause is no longer "The Silent Passage."
