Fountain Hills Theater to Stage THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, 5/17-6/2
Fountain Hills Theater has announced the opening of the classic musical comedy, The Pirates of Penzance. Stash the gold! Guard the women! Hide the rum! The "Pirates" have arrived! Set sail across our stage on this swashbuckling Gilbert and Sullivan adventure loaded with enough laughs to fill Davey Jones' locker. It follows the fortunes of Frederic, a young lad who is mistakenly apprenticed to the Pirate King. When Frederic falls for the lovely Mabel, whose father is the very model of a modern Major General, a tempest brews on the sea of love. Full of roving rogues and dazzling damsels in distress, it's a treasure chest full of mischievous musical mayhem.
The Pirates of Penzance is produced by Patricia Tonzi and Patty Torrilhon, directed and choreographed by Dale Nakagawa , musically directed by Jennifer Whiting and costumed by Renee Brown. The Pirates of Penzance features; Regina Bellows, Lois Blake, Sean Bollinger, Chris Bowler, Trevor Bowler, Dyana Carroll, Todd Corbeil, Bjorn Eriksson, Alex Gonzalez, Ted Hance, Leah Klein, Matt McDonald, Kathy Morgan, Lew Myers, Laura Pyper, Marren Sanders, Paul Vasquez, Tom Vinopal, Carly Weekley and DeAnna Zaccaria.
The Pirates of Penzance will play May 17- June 2, 2013. Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 2PM. A reception, hosted by Redendo's Pizzeria & Pasta, will be held on Opening Night, featuring free appetizers, wine and soft drinks. Individual tickets are $25.00 for adults and $20.00 for children 17 and under. Seniors receive a $5.00 discount on all Thursday performances. Group rates and student rush discounts are available.
All performances are at Fountain Hills Theater on its Mainstage at 11445 N. Saguaro Blvd. (The Corner of Saguaro and Rand). Tickets are available through the Theater Box Office at (480) 837-9661 x3. Box Office Hours are 10:00 AM-5:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday. Visit the website at www.fhtaz.org.
