The Episcopal Actors' Guild's annual celebration of new work continues with a staged reading of Man in the Moon by Mark Karafin. The reading will be held tonight, March 20 in Guild Hall at 7:00 pm, and followed by a reception. Past Barbour Award winners include Ian August (Donna Orbits the Moon), Lynn Rosen (Apple Cove), and Laura Eason (40 Days).

Summary: In his own garage, Donny awakes to find himself soaking wet and taped to an old wooden chair. Over the course of the day, he'll learn why. Man in the Moon is a tense, dark thriller about fate, justice, and the choices we make.

The Guild Hall at The Little Church is located at 1 E. 29th St., New York, NY 10016 (b/w Fifth Ave. and Madison Ave.) Trains: R/N @ 28th St.; 6 @ 28th St. Tickets: $10/EAG members, $15/non-members. RSVP: (212) 685-2927 or matt@actorsguild.org.

Mark Karafin's directing credits include Exit 27 (Medicine Show Theatre), Certifiable (FringeNYC), Erotomania (MITF), Cell 6 (Manhattan Rep), and Much Ado About Nothing (Theatre Row). He has assisted Christopher Durang, Alexander Dinelaris, Billy Hopkins, Neil LaBute, Austin Pendleton and more. He is currently General Manager at SoHo Playhouse, and is a proud member of Oberon Theatre Ensemble.
