Desert Stages Theatre to Host Sneak Peek of New Theatre Space

On Monday July 11th Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre's executive director Laurie Cullity will be hosting a sneak peak look at the new location for the theatre inside Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. The new space will feature 2 theaters, classroom, workshop, and office space and is projected to be ready for occupancy in 2017. "We'll have a lot more theater space. We'll be growing from 6,500 square feet to over 12,500 square feet. A lot more space for the actors. A lot more space for the audience," Cullity said. People are welcome to meet in the food court area at 5pm when doors open and the event will kick off at 5:30pm. This will also be a great opportunity to find out how you can be involved in keeping this local gem alive.

A Capital Campaign has been set up to help raise the funds necessary in order for this move to happen and community involvement is key to its success. A Go Fund me page has been created along with several valley businesses helping with local events to keep the fundraising going. A generous grant from the Arizona Coyotes has also been awarded along with funds generated from their annual Look Into Your Heart Gala. Desert Stages is a registered 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible.
