Captain Louie Soars Onto the Stage at Mesa Arts Center 1/29-2/7/2010
Stageworks presents the adventurous tale of a young man and his imagination, Captain Louie by Anthony Stein based on the beloved children's book The Trip by Ezra Jack Keats at Mesa Arts Center January 29 through February 7, 2010. Audiences are taken on a wild adventure around the city with Louie and his imagination as he reunites with his old friends. Captain Louie not only promotes literacy among children but also instills the importance of creativity and imagination. Journey through the city with Captain Louie as he flies around searching for new friends. This performance showcases local talented actors including Emily Price, Katie Cathcart, and Issac Lundgren from Mesa, Israel Jimenez, Sonia Rodriguez Wood, and Andrea Robertson from Phoenix, Hilary Hirsch from Scottsdale, and Molly Gittelman from Tempe. These accomplished local actors will bring Captain Louie's journey to life in an exciting performance that the entire family can enjoy.
Stageworks, Mesa Arts Center's family theater company, brings another year of truly phenomenal theatrical talent to the Valley.
