Book, Music and Lyrics By Bob Walton & Jim Walton
Mountain Playhouse is at PO Box 189 7690 Somerset Pike, Jennerstown, PA.
The Mountain Playhouse is Pennsylvania’s oldest professional stock theater and one of only twelve professional summer stock theaters remaining in the United States today. The Mountain Playhouse brings Broadway-quality entertainment to the local Johnstown, Somerset, and Ligonier communities, to audiences from metropolitan Pittsburgh, and visitors from across the United States. Each summer, the Mountain Playhouse produces a season of exciting shows ranging from the best of American musical theater to thought-provoking dramas and slapstick farce. Performances run two to three weeks, each with weekday and weekend, evening and matinee performances. Members of Actors’ Equity Association perform in all productions as they have since the theater’s opening in 1939. The theater also employs directors from the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, and musicians from the American Federation of Music.
