THE BOOK OF MORMON Kicks Off Forrest Theatre Run Tonight

By:

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, continues its National Tour, which begins tonight, July 29, at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia as part of the Broadway Philadelphia season, and plays a limited seven week engagement through September 14. In Philadelphia, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $27 apiece. Broadway Philadelphia is presented by The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and The Shubert Organization.

The performance schedule is: Tuesday - Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m.; Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m.; matinees Saturdays at 2 p.m. and Sundays at 1 p.m.

The wildly popular lottery for the Broadway production has attracted as many as 800 entries at some performances. The producers of THE BOOK OF MORMON are pleased to offer low-priced lottery seats for every city on the National Tour.

Entries will be accepted at the Forrest Theatre box office (1114 Walnut Street, Phila.) beginning two and a half hours prior to each performance; each person will print their name and the number of tickets (1 or 2) they wish to purchase on a card that is provided. Two hours before curtain, names will be drawn at random for a limited number of tickets priced at $25 each. Only one entry is allowed per person. Cards are checked for duplication prior to drawing. Winners must be present at the time of the drawing and show valid ID to purchase tickets. Limit one entry per person and two tickets per winner. Tickets are subject to availability.

Tickets are available by calling 800-447-7400, online at www.telecharge.com or at the Forrest Theatre box office, 1114 Walnut St, Phila. beginning June 30 at 10:00 am. Group orders of 15 or more may be placed by calling 866-276-2947 or 215-790-5883. For more information, visit www.forrest-theatre.com or www.kimmelcenter.org/broadway.
