The Philadelphia Music Theater Works, Philly's newest addition to its vibrant and thriving theater community, kicks off its first annual season with FRESH: New Musicals. Stripped. This one night only concert event is a celebration of new work for the musical theater featuring the songs of Nick Blaemire (Broadway's Glory Days), Chris Miller & Nathan Tysen (The Burnt Part Boys, The Mysteries of Harris Burdick), Brian Lowdermilk & Kait Kerrigan (Off-Bway's Henry & Mudge, The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown), Jonathan Reid Gealt (Forward), David Ogrin (Hell Hole Honeys), Andre Vermeulen & Randy Petersen (Jailbirds), and Philly writers Dan Martin & Michael Biello (NYMF's The Cousins Grimm).

Artistic Director Jeremiah Downes notes, "It's thrilling that we're able to bring together so many of the writers and performers, from both the Philadelphia and New York theater communities, who are really shaping the future of the American musical theater… it's going to be a very special and exciting evening."

The evening will be hosted by Artistic Director, Jeremiah Downes and Tom Dooley (Off-Bway's Awesome 80's Prom) and features performances by Josh Lamon (Barrymore Award winner, Wicked), Sarah Bolt (off-Bway's Walmartopia), Kimberly Rehfuss (Bway's Taboo), Ben Sheaffer (Bway's 1776, Sound of Music), Jillian Louis (off-Bway's Shlomo), Larry Hamilton (Off-Bway's Captain Louie), Billy Bustamante, Stearns Matthews,  Jeremy Scott, Amanda Brizzi, Joy Mayweather, Fred Ross, Mat Burrow, and the cast of the Ritz Theatre Company's Jailbirds.
