CLICK CLACK MOO Closes 2010-2011 WST For Kids Series June 4

By:

CLICK, CLACK, MOO brings the lessons of friendship and sharing to the Walnut Street Theatre's stage as part of the WST for Kids Series. This hilarious and "moo-ving" new musical takes place Saturday, June 4 at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

CLICK, CLACK, MOO is a new musical based on the Caldecott Award-winning book by Doreen Cronin with illustrations by Betsy Lewin. This kids' musical is "utterly" delightful and entertaining. With fun songs and lively choreography, CLICK, CLACK, MOO teaches the importance of friendship and compromise.

Farmer Brown has an extraordinary problem: his cows like to type. He discovers this fact after taking away his granddaughter Jenny's laptop computer. Soon, the cows begin using the computer to write him letters demanding blankets for the animals in the cold barn. When Farmer Brown dismisses the complaints as ridiculous, the cows soon strike. The chickens join them in solidarity. Will Farmer Brown compromise? What will happen if he doesn't?

CLICK, CLACK, MOO is a Theatreworks USA production. Since 1961, Theatreworks USA has enlightened, entertained and instructed over 85 million people in 49 states and Canada, now performing for about three million people annually. Every year, the company tours approximately 16 shows from its ever-growing repertoire of 125 plays and musicals.

The Walnut Street Theatre for Kids Series takes pride in bridging the generation gap between parents (and grandparents!) and their kids. Each season encourages children to first read the books then watch the stories come to life on-stage. The 2010-2011 WST for Kids Series has been the most successful season to date, breaking box office records with the original WST productions of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol and The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley. Walnut Street Theatre takes pride in bringing families together through reading and the arts.

Tickets for CLICK, CLACK, MOO are only $10-$14. This one hour musical is recommended for audiences grades K-6.

For tickets and information, please call 215-574-3550 or 800-982-2787 or visit the Walnut's website at: www.WalnutStreetTheatre.org.
