Royal Flying Doctor Service of WA Hosts ALTITUDE Black Tie Ball Tonight

The prestigious black tie ball established to raise essential funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of WA (RFDS WA) is set to return with a new name - ALTITUDE - and a stunning new venue, the Grand Ballroom at Crown Perth, this evening, 23 August 2014.

Presented by Pilatus, the glamourous gala event will be an elegant evening hosted by national television personality Natalie Barr and will feature three course fine dining, premium beverages, world class service and a live charity auction PLUS spectacular entertainment from iconic Australian superstar Kate Ceberano, jazz chanteuse Ali Bodycoat, high energy soul outfit Stratosfunk and rock pop string quartet ISQ.

A highlight on the Perth social calendar, the 2014 red carpet event will be bigger than ever. Featuring state-of-the-art audio visual, spectacular lighting, a recreated airport runway stage extending through the ballroom and a custom ALTITUDE Bar inside the ballroom, ALTITUDE 2014 promises the ultimate high-end charity experience.

VIP Tables of 10 will feature premium seating, luxury accommodation at Crown Metropol, valet parking, priority check in and VIP gift bags as well as access to the ALTITUDE pre-drinks including celebrity meet-and-greet at La Vie Champagne Lounge and after party at NOBU.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service's mission is to provide excellence in emergency aeromedical and primary health care services to rural and remote Australia. Over 750 industry leaders, business owners, community representatives and media who are passionate about raising funds to keep this vital service in the air are expected to attend ALTITUDE in 2014.

The largest and most comprehensive aeromedical service in the world, for the past 85 years RFDS has provided 24-hour medical assistance to one patient every 2 minutes year round in every corner of the country.

In the last 12 months, RFDS WA transported over 9,000 sick and injured patients to hospitals across the state for treatment and RFDS WA pilots made over 16,000 landings, and flew 7.9 million kilometres to the furthest reaches of Western Australia.

RFDS WA consists of 15 aircraft, 5 bases and 300 staff in Western Australia. Supporting the RFDS WA will ensure that every person living, working or travelling across Western Australia is connected to first class health services at all times.
