Dame Elizabeth Taylor has passed away this morning at the age of 79 due to heart failure. According to ABC News, all four of her children were with her when she passed. In the clip below, the legend presents at the Tony Awards.

Matthew Lombardo's new play HIGH, directed by Rob Ruggiero, stars two-time Golden Globe winner, Academy Award & Tony Award nominee Kathleen Turner as 'Sister Jamison Connelly'. Previews begin on Broadway on March 25 and the official opening is April 19, 2011. Broadway Beat was on hand for the official meet and greet last week and brings you the introduction below!

Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? plays December 2, 2010 -13, 2011 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N. STAGE TUBE: Turner Stars in Bway-Bound HIGH!

Kathleen Turner is currently starring in the world premiere production of HIGH at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. The production is running through October 2, 2010, after which producers are aiming for a Broadway transfer. TV: Robert Foxworth Stars in King Lear at Old Globe

Robert Foxworth plays King Lear and Bruce Turk the Fool in Shakespeare's tragedy, directed by Festival Artistic Director Adrian Noble. The crowns are swapped in Alan Bennett's The Madness of George III, also helmed by Noble, where Miles Anderson will play King George III and Foxworth will play Dr. Willis. The Festival also includes Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew directed by Ron Daniels with Jonno Roberts and Emily Swallow as the two sparring lovers.

Following the record-breaking and critically acclaimed engagement of 'American Idiot' at the Berkeley Rep, the production is now Broadway-bound. 'American Idiot' will begin previews in March 2010 and open on Broadway in April at the St. James Theatre. The Broadway cast will be announced shortly.
