Last night, May 25, 59E59 Theaters welcomed the Rubicon Theatre in California to Americas Off Broadway with their critically acclaimed production of THE BEST IS YET TO COME: THE MUSIC OF Cy Coleman, devised and directed by David Zippel. The legendary Barbra Streisand was honored by the Recording Academy as the MusiCares Person of the Year on February 11 at a dinner and concert. The concert featured performances by Kristin Chenoweth, Tony Bennett,Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Barry Manilow, Diana Krall, and more. Also appearing were GLEE Cast members Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison and Darren Criss.

Minutes prior to the start of the Olympic games in Vancouver on Friday, February 12, NBC aired an abbreviated version of 'We Are the World 25 for Haiti', a recording to benefit the victims of the Haiti earthquake. The full video can be seen below. The single is available for download from iTunes with proceeds going directly to the We Are the World Foundation.
