The Community Theatre of Little Rock ends its 57th season with its Summer Musical 'Legally Blonde: The Musical' by Heather Hach, Laurence O'Keefe, and Nell Benjamin. Show dates are July 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th and 27th at 7:30 pm and July 14th, 21st and 28th at 2pm, to be held at The Public Theatre, located at 616 Center Street, next to Horn's Men's Store in downtown Little Rock. Stage Entertainment USA and Sylvester Stallone have announced that the new musical, ROCKY, will come to Broadway in 2014, beginning preview performances in February and officially opening in March at Broadway's historic Winter Garden Theatre. ROCKY received its world premiere in fall 2012 in Hamburg, Germany.

The all-new Australian production of one the most successful American Broadway musicals of all time, A CHORUS LINE is currently playing in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands, and will play at Sydney's Capitol Theatre for 21 performances only beginning 20 July, 2012. According to the Chinese Almanac, Tuesday, October 11th is a good day for starting a business. So the producers of CHINGLISH, the new comedy about an American businessman doing business in China by Tony Award-winning and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist David Henry Hwang (M. A.R.T. American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) opens its 2011-12 season with The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, by George Gershwin, DuBose and Dorothy Heyward, and Ira Gershwin. The adaptation by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks and Obie Award-winning composer Diedre L. Murray, directed by A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus, with choreography by Ronald K. Brown, begins previews on August 17 and opens for the reviewing press on August 31 at 7pm. Performances are at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge. Tickets for preview performances are currently on sale, remaining tickets for the run go on sale on July 12. R.Evolución Latina's D2GB (Dare to Go Beyond) Children's Performing Arts Camp concludes tomorrow with a very special celebration at El Museo del Barrio. R.Evolución Latina, who has been featured on NBC's Nightly News with Brian Williams in a segment called 'Making a Difference', is a collective of artists and activists committed to empowering the artistic community in order to inspire growth within the Latino Community through collaboration, productions, and educational support programs. An added focus to this year's camp is health awareness and the importance of physical activity as we address the growing concern of obesity in our Latino children. 'Through the arts, we will empower the youth to recognize the importance of leading and maintaining a healthy life' says Camp Coordinator Ali Solomon. This free camp will provide more than 150 underserved children ages 7-17 the chance to experience the arts through classes taught by NYC and international artists from the theatre, music, dance, and Latino communities. 'This camp is very inspiring and also fun... It's like a mission that we have to accomplish during this week, I'm just loving everything about it.' said Rosa Fermin one of the students.

La Jolla Playhouse presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Ruined, by Lynn Nottage (Intimate Apparel, Crumbs from the Table of Joy), directed by South Africa native Liesl Tommy, in the Mandell Weiss Theatre November 16 - December 19 (media night: Sunday, November 21 at 7:00 pm). Ruined is a co-production with Berkeley Repertory Theatre and the Huntington Theatre Company.

Last night, September 13, 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' launched its first ever LNJF Broadway Week. The week will showcase all the biggest hits the Great White Way has to offer, from pounding punk rock to 60s swing. Each night this week, Jimmy will welcome a different Broadway musical to the Late Night studios.
