Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schonberg's Tony Award-winning musical masterpiece LES MISERABLES officially opened at Broadway's Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) on Sunday, March 23. The production has received three Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical Revival. The performance from the cast of LES MISERABLES began with Hugh Jackman taking the stage to perform the new original song 'Suddenly' from Tom Hooper's adaptation, where he was then joined by Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Samantha Barks, Aaron Tveit, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen and Eddie Redmayne - as well as numerous members from the show's various productions - to perform the Act One Finale 'One Day More', while Anne Hathaway will sing a section of 'I Dreamed A Dream'. Everybody's been talking about the animatronic pig which cost a reported £100,000 for Cameron Mackintosh's new musical comedy BETTY BLUE EYES, based on the Handmade Film 'A PRIVATE FUNCTION' by Alan Bennett and Malcolm Mowbray. BETTY BLUE EYES is the first original musical Cameron Mackintosh has produced in ten years. It started previews at the Novello Theatre in the West End on 19 March and opened on 13 April.
