So this show marks my first time in the ensemble in my professional career. Now, I mean that just as a fact, not as an "ugh, the ensemble" type comment. In fact, my mind has been blown in these past two weeks as to the amount of extra work one must put in when the circumstances given to you are sing, dance and insert random line during a scene change where you're grabbing a stool to take offstage. Our director, Rob Ruggiero, is very detail oriented and insists on an ensemble that has their own backstories and aren't just "peas and carrots" and "hub-bubbing" in group scenes. This cast has risen to the challenge and have created a warm and inviting community chock full of relationships and intricacies. Me? I'm giving you a full committed three act riff of August: Osage County deep within my subtle, "Well, hi boss!" and "Yeah, I seen her picture. She's beautiful." As I always say, "If you give a mouse a cookie…"

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is a love-struck comedy taking the Benedum stage tonight, June 11-16, 2013. Audiences are sure to be delighted by the antics of seven brothers and 'wannabe' brides living under one roof in 19th century Oregon. Noted Broadway performers including Pittsburgh CLO alumni George Dvorsky and Mamie Parris will take the lead as Adam and Milly, along with an incredibly talented Pittsburgh CLO cast. These charming women discuss life on the road and how they approach the iconic characters. Eden also visits with Colorado native Jesse Johnson, who reveals his feelings about performing on the 'big stage' he used to visit as a child.

The first national tour of 9 to 5: THE MUSICAL featuring music and lyrics by Dolly Parton is coming to Ovens Auditorium Oct. 5-10. Charlotte is only the third stop on the tour.

Following the closing announcement of Broadway's RAGTIME for January 3, the production was met with public dismay and a swell of strong ticket sales for the closing week. As previously reported, the producer's have responded to public sentiment by extending the show by a week. The critically acclaimed new production of Terrence McNally, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's Tony Award® winning musical RAGTIME will now play its final performance on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. following 28 preview and 65 regular performances.
