Jefferson Mays, Bryce Pinkham and the cast and orchestra of Broadway's A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER performed the number 'I Don't Understand the Poor' for the last night's Tonight Show audience

Jefferson Mays and the stars of the hit Broadway musical A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER joined NBC's Today on the plaza to perform the number, 'I've Decided to Marry You.'

Jefferson Mays plays eight different roles in the Broadway show 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder'.

At a special event yesterday, March 5, the cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder announced that the production has reached the 1,000th death of its leading man, Jefferson Mays, since opening at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Mays' character dies eight times in each performance; and so, he has reached 1,000 stage deaths faster than any other Broadway actor. BroadwayWorld was there for the special celebration and caught up with the cast.

On Saturday, September 29, David T. Little's long-awaited debut full-length opera, Dog Days, created in collaboration with librettist Royce Vavrek, and based on the eponymous short story by Judy Budnitz (1998), receives its world premiere, opening a run of five performances: Sep. 29, Oct. 6 at 8:00 PM; Sep. 30, Oct. 7 at 3:00 PM; Oct. 5 at 7:30 PM. The fully-staged production, directed by Robert Woodruff, premieres at Montclair State University's Alexander Kasser Theater in Montclair, NJ. Where's Charley?, based on BranDon Thomas' Charley's Aunt, has a book by George Abbott and music and lyrics by Frank Loesser. The show, running March 17 - 20, will be directed by John Doyle and choreographed by Alex Sanchez with music direction by Rob Berman.
