Gotta Dance, the new Broadway-bound musical comedy about professional basketball's first ever aged 60-and-older dance team, recently extended one week on the heels of its first performance in Chicago on December 13. The pre-Broadway World Premiere of Gotta Dance will now play through January 17, 2016, at Broadway In Chicago's Bank of America Theatre (18 W Monroe St, Chicago), before opening on Broadway in the Fall of 2016. The Richard Rodgers Theatre box office (226 West 46th Street) is now open for tickets to Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof starring Scarlett Johansson as Maggie, Ciaran Hinds as Big Daddy, Benjamin Walker as Brick and Debra Monk as Big Mama, directed by Rob Ashford. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof opens Thursday, January 17, 2013. Previews begin Tuesday, December 18. This limited engagement runs for 15 weeks only, through March 30, 2013. Ghost the Musical, beginning previews March 15th with the opening date set for April 23rd, is directed by Tony Award winner Matthew Warchus (God of Carnage, The Norman Conquests, Boeing-Boeing) and choreographed by Ashley Wallen (The X Factor, Kylie Minogue). Ghost The Musical is created by a team of Grammy and Academy Award winners, with a brand-new original score by Dave Stewart (half of the multi-Grammy Award winning Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard (Michael Jackson's Man In The Mirror, Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill), with a book by Bruce Joel Rubin (Ghost, Jacob's Ladder, The Time Traveler's Wife), who has adapted his Academy Award winning original screenplay for the stage. This brand new score also includes the iconic song 'Unchained Melody,' famously performed in the film by The Righteous Brothers.
