Aladdin, which will open on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre on March 20, is currently playing at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre (formerly the Canon), where it will run through January 5, 2014. James Monroe Iglehart and Bryan Fenkart of the Tony Award-winning show MEMPHIS recently sang at the Broadway Impact concert at Joe's Pub. Iglehart performed a classic Brook Brenton song, while Fenkart accompanied himself on the piano, singing his original song 'Empty-Handed' from his first solo album.

The series kicked off last night, January 11, with a concert by Lin-Manuel Miranda. The evening opened with a surprise appearance by his In The Heights co-star, Mandy Gonzalez, for a remix of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' Gotham anthem, 'Empire State of Mind'.
