South African Lion King performer Nhlanhla Ndlovu surprised the entire cast of Disney's The Lion King and his girlfriend, fellow cast member Daniela Cobb, by proposing on stage last night at the Auditorium Theatre in Rochester, NY.

Walt Disney Studios along with David Garibaldi helped celebrate World Lion Day by releasing a special music video of 'Be Prepared' from the upcoming Walt Disney's Signature Collection of THE LION KING.

On this day in 2000, The Lion King,reached its 1,000th performance at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Based on the animated film of the same name,  the show opened on Broadway November 13, 1997 and won the 1998 Tony Award for Best Musical.
