Following the overwhelming audience response and unprecedented ticket demand for the recently opened production of PIAF, Curve has announced additional performance dates from 3 - 6 April 2013. The production currently showing in Curve's Studio will be transferred into the larger Theatre space, with Frances Ruffelle continuing in the title role as the legendary French chanteuse, Edith Piaf. Planning is also underway for a national tour of the production, following the performances at Curve; full details to be confirmed at a later date. Happy Birthday Elena Roger! In 2006, after a lengthy search, Argentinean actress Elena Roger became an overnight sensation starring in the title role in Michael Grandage's widely hailed production of EVITA in the West End. A complete unknown to the rest of the world, Roger starred in multiple theatrical productions and television shows in her native Argentina. Most recently Roger won the 2009 Olivier Award for Best Actress for her performance as Edith Piaf in The Donmar Theatre production of Piaf. She currently stars in the title role in Evita at the Palace Theatre.

Theatre icon Elaine Paige, the 'Queen of West End Musicals' who has created the roles of Eva Peron in 'Evita,' Grizabella in 'Cats,' Florence in 'Chess' and Edith Piaf in 'Piaf' and had a triumphant debut on Broadway in 1996 as Norma Desmond in 'Sunset Boulevard,' signed copies of her autobiography, 'Memories,' on Wednesday, September 22, at the Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle store.
