Each year, six to eight million dogs and Cats will enter shelters and rescue groups, but only about half will be adopted. To encourage shelter pet adoption during the holiday season, the cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic Broadway hit Cats have teamed up with The Shelter Pet Project to help these furry friends find their forever homes. As part of the partnership, the Cats cast took part in a purr-fect PSA to reinforce the importance of shelter pet adoption and how adoption has personally impacted their lives. Watch the PSA below!

The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) hosted the second annual Hope Rising benefit at The Pierre Hotel on Thursday, October 12. The evening's program concluded with a four-song set from Tony Award-winning actress Cynthia Erivo, who most recently starred in The Color Purple on Broadway. Ms. Erivo's first song, 'If You Knew Susie,' was dedicated to the memory of Susan Newhouse. Ms. Erivo capped her performance with 'Let It Be' by the Beatles, dedicated to Si and Victoria Newhouse. Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts officially renamed its largest concert hall for entertainment icon and philanthropist David Geffen at a special ceremony today, as the New York Philharmonic opened its 2015-2016 season. Geffen's $100 million gift is the essential catalyst for the comprehensive renovation and re-imagination of the concert hall, a joint effort between Lincoln Center and the New York Philharmonic.
