Cheek by Jowl reunites with the Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre on Francis Beaumont's outrageous dark comedy, The Knight of the Burning Pestle, hilarious and terrifying in its relevance to our times. Following its Paris and Moscow premieres, the production comes to London for performances at the Barbican - where Cheek by Jowl is an Artistic Associate, from 5 to 8 June with a press performance on 5 June.
Brooklyn Academy Of Music's (BAM), Next Wave Festival runs from October 3 through December 23 and comprises music, opera, theater, physical theater, dance, filmmusic, and performance art engagements in the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, BAM Harvey Theater, and BAM Fisher. This year's festival will be the final Next Wave curated by Melillo; he will also program BAM's 2019 WinterSpring season before stepping down at the end of 2018 after 35 years of artistic leadership at BAM.

Produced by Disney and Sonia Friedman Productions and based on the Academy Award®-winning screenplay by Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard, Shakespeare in Love has been adapted for the stage by Lee Hall (Billy Elliot). Featuring a company of 28 actors and musicians, one of the largest companies ever assembled for a play in the West End, and a dog, this new play will be directed by Declan Donnellan and designed by Nick Ormerod, the driving force behind the world-renowned theatre company, Cheek by Jowl. The new play, which opens on July 23, is currently playing at the Noel Coward Theatre.
