Ford's Theatre Society presents its 35th-annual production of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, now through December 31, 2016. This 'musically high-spirited' and 'infectiously jolly' (The Washington Post) production is adapted by Michael Wilson, directed by Michael Baronand features Craig Wallace as Ebenezer Scrooge. Happy Birthday Charles Dickens! An English novelist, Dickens is generally considered the greatest of the Victorian period. Dickens enjoyed a wider popularity and fame than had any previous author during his lifetime, and he remains popular, having been responsible for some of English literature's most iconic novels and characters. Many of his writings were originally published serially, in monthly instalments, a format of publication which Dickens himself helped popularise. Many of hisworks have been turned into Broadway shows, including: Oliver!, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, A Christmas Carol, a Tale of Two Cities, and more.

Last chance to see Academy Award-winner Jim Broadbent's triumphant return to the stage in A Christmas Carol at the Noel Coward Theatre. Must end its limited run on Saturday 30 January.

The award-winning Actors' Conservatory Theatre (ACT-San Diego, www.actsandiego.com) presents an adaptation of Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL, with a 31 member youth and young adult cast. The production is Directed by Bernard Baldan, with Musical Direction by Desha Crownover and Choreography by Erin Petersen. Kansas City Repertory Theatre continues its 50th anniversary celebration with the beloved holiday classic, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, directed by Jerry Genochio. Performances run November 21 through December 26 at UMKC's Spencer Theatre. Since 1981, more than half a million audience members have fallen in love with Dicken's ageless story of the ghostly experiences of the hard-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge on a magical Christmas Eve. Press night is Saturday, November 29th, 8pm curtain.
