Today we celebrate the first Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell, which opened on this day in 2011.

Tony and Grammy award-nominated Michael McElroy and Broadway Inspirational Voices released the seventh video in their 'Broadway Our Way' series today, offering 'Edelweiss' from the legendary musical The Sound of Music, music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II (Oklahoma; South Pacific; Carousel; King and I). Tony and Grammy Award nominee Michael McElroy and the Broadway Inspirational Voices continue their brand-new web series titled 'Broadway Our Way' today with McElroy's prayerful arrangement of 'All the Wasted Time' from PARADE, with a special introduction by composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown himself. Just last month, the Broadway at Birdland concert series presented songwriter Jonathan Reid Gealt, who celebrated the release of his new cd, 'Whatever I Want It To Be,' with a concert at the historic music room starring a bevy of Broadway stars. Last night, September 17, Broadway stars united to sing the songs of a music legend in 'Broadway Sings Michael Jackson' at Le Poisson Rouge. The concert, which featured some of Jackson's biggest hits, was held at 9:30 PM.

Hundreds of hopeful actors, ages 6 to 16, showed up at the Circle in the Square Theatre today, April 25, to audition for the Broadway musical GODSPELL. The audition panel, including director Daniel Goldstein, is looking to fill 10 roles in the show. About 300 kids, including Holly Block, Gaten Matarazzo and Ellis Gage, who are featured in the video below, performed 16 measures of music for the panel.
