The Dramatists Guild's Anti-Piracy Committee just hosted their first-ever Anti-Piracy awareness event on Monday, April 21. During the event, established and up-and-coming musical theatre writers paired up to reach out to known sheet music pirates and ask them to take down the links to their sheet music. The day is intended to raise awareness about the problem of sheet music piracy and take steps against the digital distribution of stolen sheet music. London Theatre Workshop will open the doors to a new, fully functional, 65 seat boutique theatre in the heart of Fulham, on 10 March, 2014. The space sits above a completely refurbished Bar and Brasserie, the Eel Brook (formerly the Southern Cross), at 65 New Kings Road, London, SW6 4SG. Broadway Gives Back and Seaview Productions presented the 'Second Annual Broadway Charity Songs' benefit concert on February 24, 2014. 'Broadway Charity Songs' has paired a group of award-winning musical theatre composers with a group outstanding charities and tasked them with composing an original song inspired by the work of that charity. The result is a group of songs gifted to the charities - with the hope that the songs 'go viral' -- increasing awareness for these outstanding organizations. Audra McDonald' recently released her first solo album in seven years, Go Back Home, and just launched a concert tour across North America, which kicked off with a performance at the Midland Center for the Arts in Midland, MI, on June 8. McDonald recently chatted with PBS about the recent release and you can check out what she had to say below!

This week's feature is 'Seeing You There' by Adam Gwon. Tony-nominee Josh Young (Jesus Christ Superstar), who happens to be a co-founder of Cutting-Edge Composers, sang this at our first concert at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Roundabout Theatre Company presents Bad Jews, a new play by Joshua Harmon, directed by Daniel Aukin, features Tracee Chimo (Daphna), Philip Ettinger (Jonah), Molly Ranson (Melody) & Michael Zegen (Liam).
