PopUP Theatrics' new immersive theatre experience 'Inside,' in which two audience members at a time witness the same events and are fed divergent and contradictory stories about what they are seeing, begins regular monthly performances at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue, beginning Tuesday March 14.

New York Theatre Workshop has announced the playwrights and directors selected for the 2016/17 Season 2050 Fellowship. The playwrights are Beto O'Byrne, Ming Peiffer, and Francis Weiss Rabkin and the directors are Danny Sharron, Stevie Walker-Webb, and Mo Zhou.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced the playwrights and directors selected for the 2015/16 season 2050 Fellowship. The playwrights are Nathan Alan Davis, Hansol Jung and Patricia Ione Lloyd and the directors are Noelle Ghoussaini, Alexandru Mihail and Danya Taymor.

The Asian American Composers and Lyricists Project and ReImagined World Entertainment will present 'Arriving In Asian America,' a song cycle collectively written by members of the project with original words and music by Adam Gwon, Timothy Huang, Christine Toy Johnson, Ming Aldrich-Gan, Hyeyoung Kim (with Michael Cooper), Leon Ko, Robert Lee, Yoonmi Lee (with Gaby Gold & Zhu Yi), Yan Li, Jason Ma, J. Ego Actus and Scandinavian American Theater Company (SATC) will present the US Premiere of NORWAY PLAYS: DRAMA BEYOND IBSEN. The evening features two 50-minute one act plays by contemporary Norwegian playwrights, both of whom have won the prestigious Ibsen Award: THE RETURNING by Fredrik Brattberg (directed by Henning Hegland) and MORE by Maria Tryti Vennerod (directed by Joan Kane). Previews of this limited Off-Broadway engagement begin November 9 at Theater For The New City with opening is slated for November 13.

Mia Shen in association with Pocket Theatre is proud to present I AM A MOON, Zhu Yi's lyrical play partially inspired by the life of legendary Japanese porn star Ai Iijima, as part of the 17th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. The comedy, The Inspector General by Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center is performed by famous artists in China, such as Jiao Huang, Zhang Xianheng, Gu Yongfei, Yang Kun, etc. All of them are now either successful actors and artists or professors of Performance Departments in colleges, and coincidently, they are all the 59th graduates of the Performance Department of Shanghai Theatre Academy. As a 'legendary' group of the supreme artistic level in the history of Shanghai Theatre Academy, these 'veteran and prestigious actors (actresses)' come together again after 50 years of their graduation in this comedy.
