Agatha Christie's beloved murder mystery THE MOUSETRAP will begin the final leg of its record-breaking, and first ever, UK tour at Glasgow Theatre Royal on 12th September. Artistic Director of Mercury Theatre Colchester Daniel Buckroyd today announces the full company for the UK regional premiere production of Bruce Norris' acclaimed play Clybourne Park which opens at the company's home base ahead of a national tour - Ben Deery (Karl / Steve), Dan Gaisford(Kenneth), Rebecca Manley (Bev / Kathy), Rebecca Oldfield (Betsey / Lindsey), Gloria Onitiri (Francine / Lena), Wole Sawyerr (Albert / Kevin), William Troughton (Jim / Tom) and Mark Womack (Dan / Russ). The production opens on 15 April as part of the Made in Colchester Season, with previews from 8 April and runs until 23 April. It is the first time the production will be seen in the UK outside of London.

Critically acclaimed actress Alison Skilbeck kicks off a spring 2016 tour of her one-woman play Mrs Roosevelt Flies to London, at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on 5 February. The production continues on to The Mill Studio at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre on 3 - 5 March, Omnibus Clapham on 7 April, and finally at Mercury Theatre, Colchester on the 6-7 May. With special permission from the Roosevelt Estate to use Eleanor's diary and writings, the play captures the spirit, humour, and passion of one of the most extraordinary women of the 20th century, on her daring visit to Britain in 1942.
