Under the leadership of Artistic Director Sarah Benson and Executive Director Cynthia Flowers, Soho Rep. has continually produced work by bold artists who harness the intimate power of a 73-seat black box theater to create transformative experiences. Soho Rep.'s 2014-15 season, announced today, comprises three new works that each speak to the civic power of theater through their own distinctive form.

Alan Smithee Directed This Play from Big Dance Theater comes to BAM's Harvey Theater (651 Fulton Street), running September 30-October 4, 2014.

Horse Trade will present a FRIGID New York production of Battalion Theatre's The Drunken City by Adam Brock, September 11th through 28th at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A). Skylight Theatre Company and Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble present the Los Angeles Premiere of Pulitzer Prize Finalist Bulrusher, written by Eisa Davis and directed by Nataki Garrett. The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at The Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY) presents PRELUDE 2014, an annual three-day festival dedicated to artists at the forefront of contemporary New York City theatre and performance.

As the culmination of its annual Project Playwright Festival, Sanguine Theatre Company presents Flamingo by Alex Trow at IRT Theater (154 Christopher Street) in downtown Manhattan. Jillian Robertson, Artistic Director of Sanguine, will direct the world premiere.

HERE announces its 2014-2015 producing season, commencing Labor Day Weekend with the premiere of the Artistic Director production, Trade Practices, by Kristin Marting & David Evans Morris; and followed by the HERE Resident Artist productions Send for the Million Men by Joseph Silvosky and Bloowst windku by Rebecca Davis. HERE's upcoming season also includes the third annual PROTOTYPE: Opera/Theatre/ Now festival and HERE's yearly CULTUREMART festival, which gives audiences a first look at new work in process from artists in the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP). The multidisciplinary productions in HERE's 2014-2015 season represent the culmination of commissions and developmental residencies of up to three years through HARP, and/or the Dream Music Puppetry Program.

HERE begins its 2014-2015 producing season with the premiere of the site-specific Artistic Director production, Trade Practices, by Kristin Marting & David Evans Morris. Trade Practices creates a living market where audience members, cash in hand, choose how to invest their time and money. Set in Pershing Hall, a historic building on Governors Island, Trade Practices kicks off Labor Day weekend, playing a limited engagement of 16 performances only, August 31 - September 21.

HERE has announced the return of its recent hit The Pigeoning, by Robin Frohardt, in an encore engagement July 9 - August 16. The Pigeoning lands in New York in Summer 2014 following a wildly successful run December 3-22, 2013, as part of HERE's 2013-2014 producing season. Be there as The Pigeoning, an imaginative puppet theater work aimed at adult audiences, touches down in the Dorothy B. Williams Theatre at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue), where the show celebrates an Official Opening on Saturday, July 12 at 7:00pm.
