The Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the world premiere production of Bad Jews by Joshua Elias Harmon and directed by Daniel Aukin for the fall season. Bad Jews will begin preview performances on October 5, 2012 and will open officially on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. This is a limited engagement through December 16, 2012. Regresa 'Amadeu' a los Teatros del Canal de Madrid, un montaje de Albert Boadella que rinde tributo a uno de nuestros compositores mas olvidados del siglo XX, Amadeu Vives, creador de importantes zarzuelas como 'Doña Francisquita' y operas como 'Maruxa'. Tan olvidado estaba que sus restos iban a ser depositados en 1995 en una fosa comun ya que nadie se hacia cargo de ellos. Fue gracias a una polemica que tuvo lugar en las paginas de La Vanguardia, que alguien por fin se hizo cargo de los restos. Fue el Orfeo Catala -que el mismo fundo junto a Lluis Millet en 1891- quien se encargo de los gastos para enterrarlo en Barcelona. Y a partir de este triste suceso, Albert Boadella ha desarrollado esta historia en la que quiere acercar nuestra tradicion musical tan desligada de la juventud española. Sin duda todo un proyecto de divulgacion que estrena en los Teatros del Canal el proximo 14 de abril.
Broadway legend Jennifer Holliday has recorded a single version of "Hold On" from the acclaimed musical Lysistrata Jones. It will be included as a bonus track on show's upcoming cast album.
