It's usually the vocalists who garner the most enthusiasm and devotion from the music loving public.  The human voice and a singer's personality are able to convey emotion and musicality in a very distinct way.  Then there is the the charisma and trumpet of Chris Botti to challenge that hypothesis.  Chris Botti has become the largest-selling American instrumental artist because of his artistry and ability to electrify an audience with his music and his gracious and elegant personality.  Early on in his concert last night Botti referred to The Kravis Center as Carnegie Hall South. With music programming like this in West Palm Beach he might have to greet a New York City audience at the legendary Concert Hall on 57th street by saying welcome to the Kravis Center North!

Grammy Award-nominated orchestral collective The Knights presents a wide-ranging program at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall on Wednesday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m., featuring music from the Baroque era through today, and from East to West. The concert features the US premiere of Canons and Overtones by Donnacha Dennehy, co-commissioned by Carnegie Hall for its 125 Commissions Project. The piece was written to mark the 20th anniversary of Dublin's Crash Ensemble and plays with layered melodies to create overtones, blurring the distinction between timbre and harmony.

Grammy Award-winning super group Silkroad Ensemble will perform in Sydney for the first time today March 9, 2019 at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia presents the boundless sounds of the Cristina Pato Quartet on April 11, 2019, at 8pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. Cristina Pato is a musical force, skilfully playing at the edges of jazz, classical, Latin, and world music with a tightly knit, synergistic band featuring Julien Labro on accordion, Edward Perez on double bass, and Mauricio Zottarelli on percussion. The multi-talented Pato can be heard in collaboration with musicians from around the world, including Yo-Yo Ma and the supergroup Silkroad Ensemble.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts welcomes the Center debut performance of the Grammy®-winning quartet Third Coast Percussion on April 5, 2019 at 8:00pm in a program that will feature the West Coast Premiere of a new work composed by Philip Glass. Quartet members include percussionists David Skidmore, Robert Dillon, Peter Martin, and Sean Connors.

CSO Music Director Rossen Milanov conducts the Columbus Symphony in The Trumpet Shall Sound, a performance of three iconic 20th century works that combine originality of musical language, intricate textures, and sonic beauty. Two rising stars, pianist Dominic Cheli and trumpeter George Goad, are showcased in Shostakovich's mercurial concerto for piano, trumpet, and string orchestra. The full program includes Jan ek's Sinfonietta, Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 1, and Stravinsky's The Fairy's Kiss: Divertimento.

The international musicians of Grammy Award-winning super group Silkroad Ensemble will perform their genre-defying music in Brisbane for the first time at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) today 7 March 2019.

This January, Black Violin hit the stage with their new 2019 Impossible Tour with over forty high-energy shows scheduled into the summer. The band makes its much-anticipated return to Cincinnati at Music Hall's Springer Auditorium on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 7:30 PM as part of the Cincinnati Arts Association's 2018-19 Season.

On Tuesday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m., Nicola and Beatrice Bulgari and the Carnegie Hall Notables-a membership and ticket program for music enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s-will host the 15th Annual Notable Occasion. This private performance in Zankel Hall for Carnegie Hall Notables and special guests features Carnegie Hall Perspectives artist pianist Yuja Wang in recital with Andreas Ottensamer, principal clarinetist of the legendary Berliner Philharmoniker. After the exclusive concert, Notables gather at Brasserie 8 ½ for a cocktail reception. The 15th Annual Notable Occasion is generously underwritten by Nicola and Beatrice Bulgari.

The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup. Continuing its tradition of elevating exceptional storytelling rooted in today's global film communities, the 18th annual Festival will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers. The program includes discoveries, comedies, music-centered, political and social films. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 - May 5.

Shankar; Planet Drum with Mickey Hart; Sangam with Charles Lloyd and Eric Harland, and recordings and performances with artists as diverse as George Harrison, Yo-Yo Ma, Joe Henderson, Van Morrison, Mark Morris and Pharoah Sanders.

American Symphony Orchestra concludes its 2018-19 season on a high note by offering an exceedingly rare performance of Bohuslav Martin 's opera Julietta at Carnegie Hall on Friday, March 22.

The Music Center welcomes one of America's most popular dance companies, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, back to Los Angeles with the dance company's 60th anniversary celebration tour at The Music Center's Dorothy Chandler Pavilion from April 3 - 7, 2019. Led by Artistic Director Robert Battle, Ailey's remarkable dancers including Danica Paulos of Huntington Beach and Rehearsal Director and Guest Artist Matthew Rushing of Los Angeles, who has been with the Company for more than 25 years will perform four different programs of diverse repertory featuring West Coast premieres, new productions and returning classics.
