BWW Reviews: Graham II NY Season - Essential Martha Graham and Much More

Graham II, the dance troupe for the Martha Graham School of Dance, celebrated their New York Season at Graham Studio Theater from June 14th to the 16th. The open floor performance space worked perfectly for the dancers; the guests appreciated the close viewing opportunity.

Each year, M.A.C Cosmetics participates in 23 Fashion Weeks and approximately 850 shows around the world providing Makeup Artistry and product support backstage. For eight consecutive seasons, M.A.C has partnered with MADE Fashion Week in New York, and will now sponsor MADE Fashion Week in Paris. For the first time, MADE will host an impressive lineup of designers under one roof at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild.

Philadelphia's Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers Moves to Mandell Theater with World Premiere on March 22nd & 23rd

Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers makes their Spring Philadelphia appearance at Drexel University's Mandell Theater on Friday, March 22 at 8 PM and Saturday, March 23 at 3 PM and 8 PM. The program, ONE: Gifts from Afar, features the world premiere of One, an exploration of humankind's rituals surrounding the drive to win. Offering contemporary, Zen-inspired works of poetic sensibility, Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers will pair One with the return of its critically acclaimed work Mandala Project which serves as a complementary piece for the new work. Tickets starting at $27 are available on Dance Box Office. Mandell Theater is located at 33rd and Chestnut Streets.

Contemporary Dance Fair in Düsseldorf Begins Today, 8/29

With its winning combination of trade show and performances, the international dance fair "interrnationale tanzmesse nrw" has been a magnet for contemporary dance companies, professionals and artists from all over the world since 1994. The fair became a biennial event in Dusseldorf in 2002 and has since attracted a growing number of contemporary dance professionals, with the last event in 2010 being the largest ever: More than 1000 trade attendees from 42 countries came to Dusseldorf to meet with 246 dance-related organizations at 102 booths on the show floor and watch performances from 60 dance companies from 23 countries on stages in Dusseldorf and beyond over 4 days. This year's show dates are today, August 29 - September 1, 2012. 243 exhibitors from 34 countries are registered at this time with a 30 percent increase in the number of booths compared to 2010.
